bravo apple crisp

Ingredients :

1 x Empire Pastry Butter Puff Sheet, defrosted

3 Bravo Apples

2 Tbsp Coconut Sugar

Juice of 3 limes

method:

Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 200°C.

Step 2: Score a 1cm border in the pastry, without cutting all the way through.

Step 3: Core the apples and slice thinly with a mandoline without peeling.

Step 4: Toss the apple slices in the lime juice and sprinkle over the coconut sugar, mix gently.

Step 5: Place on top of the puff pastry, keeping within the border and bake in the oven for 15minutes, reduce the oven to 170°C and bake for a further 20mins or until the pastry is cooked.

Best eaten warm or at room temperature, perfect with some vanilla ice-cream or simply on its own.
